As you may be aware, we have had to cancel or postpone most of our events for this year due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. We are struggling so much at the moment and know that this year is going to be one of the hardest we have ever faced as a charity, so all the help and support you currently give us is priceless.
This is why I thought I would email you to let you know about some of the virtual events we are managing to run next weekend.
- Ride for Hope Virtual bike ride: We recently held a virtual bike ride where we cycled from Northampton to Australia. This time around we want to cycle back home – some 15k+ miles. Via strava or by emailing us your distance, we are going to be adding up all the participants cycle distances over the course of the bank holiday weekend. Here are the full details – https://northamptonhopecentre.org.uk/event/virtual-cycling-ride-from-oz-to-northampton/ – this event costs just £5 to take part in and you can cycle as much or as little as you like over the weekend. All the miles will contribute to our total.
- Big SleepIn. We are asking people to take part in an at home version of our Big SleepOut. At a time suitable to people, over the bank holiday weekend, we are asking both adults and kids to get sponsored to sleep somewhere less comfortable than their bed (eg the floor, the garden, the kitchen). The idea being that they get an awareness of how uncomfortable it is to sleep rough and to raise money. I’ve attached the flyer for the event. Or you can find all the information here – https://northamptonhopecentre.org.uk/event/bank-holiday-big-sleepin/
If you would like to take part in any of these events or would simply like some more information, please do get in touch.
