3 month maternity cover with likelihood of contract extension.

NJC is at an exciting time of transformation as we build on the last 16 years of experience of working with those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, socially isolated and those who want to learn English in order to improve their skills and employability and move forward.  After a period of restructuring as a Charity we have a new strategic direction overseen by our new Programme Team (CEO, Finance, Safeguarding, Operations, Health & safety).

We are looking for someone who is passionate about demonstrating their Christian faith through faith based social action.

You will be motivated by your desire to help the marginalised, excluded and disadvantaged in a non-judgemental way; an excellent communicator with an ability to relate to a wide range of people by phone, email, face to face and in writing ; self-motivated, organised and flexible; a good team player with competent administrative skills. Ideally you will have understanding and experience of the issues that affect volunteering, of implementing safeguarding processes in relation to recruitment, of identifying and managing risk, and also of using social media to promote activities and volunteer opportunities.

You will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient running of our reception and volunteers processes.

The post is for 16hrs a week initially for 3 months and ideally this should suit someone who’d be available to work flexibly over 4 mornings( or 4 half days) ?
