Help for the Hope Centre FoodClub

Hope supporters will know all about our brilliant FoodClub project, distributing food and other goods at low prices to people on benefits, complementing the work of foodbanks to those in acute need or crisis.

We need help with this project as it moves from being staffed by paid staff with volunteers and corporate groups, to a solely volunteer led model, due to lack of funding for staff. We need volunteers to help all aspects of the club, from finding sources of food, especially in the food manufacturing and distribution systems as well as from supermarkets and shops, to  driving to pick up food that is donated, to helping sort food in our warehouse, through to helping distribute food to the pop-up shops, and helping co-ordinate, administer and promote the project.

Donations of food and toiletries are always welcome – tinned, ambient or fresh. We have plenty of pasta though!

We are also still keen to find homes for our cute and adorable food and toiletries bins for Hope’s day centre and Hope Foodclub.

Taking up no space, just 2ft 6 tall, these bins will enable your customers and members to donate much needed food and other goodies to Hope. If your school/shop/workplace/church/club/nursery/hospital/college can take one, give us a ring on 08455199371 or email

Follow the project on twitter and Instagram but also on its own Facebook page, @HopeFoodClub
