Cycle4Cynthia 2017

September 24 @ 9:00 am

Cycle4Cynthia 2017 – Sunday 24th September at Lamport Hall

Northamptonshire’s favourite annual charity bike ride, Cycle4Cynthia, returns to Lamport Hall for its fourteenth year.

The event, which is the biggest fundraiser in the calendar for Northampton’s Cynthia Spencer Hospice, is on Sunday 24th September (starting from 9am) and offers riders of all ages and abilities the chance to enjoy routes of 5, 25 and 50 miles around the glorious countryside of north and west Northamptonshire.

While there are no prizes for coming first, trophies are awarded for the biggest team and the most money raised by an individual, while the Chairman’s Cup is presented to the person or team to have gone that extra mile in support of the event.

There’s also an award for the the best fancy dress – though if dressing up is not your thing, you can support the Hospice by purchasing a C4C 2017 jersey, priced at just £25.

Last year’s ride, which was opened by Saints and England rugby captain Dylan Hartley, saw more than 1100 riders leap into their saddles and raise over £76,000 for the Hospice, taking the funds raised in the event’s thirteen year history to just shy of half a million pounds and it’s hoped that this year’s pedallers can add further to that incredible total.

Entry is £15 for adults, £7.50 for children and £35 for families (rising after 1st September) so riders are encouraged to register for the event at www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk or by calling the Hospice fundraising office on 01604 210941, where you can also place an order for a jersey.

You can also follow the event on the ride’s and the Hospice’s page on Facebook.
